During the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, the Protestant Reformation was in full bloom. Catholics, especially priests, were considered treasonous. If discovered, they were imprisoned, tortured, and killed. Isabel Dawson, a young Catholic woman, and her brother Jonathan, fearlessly hide priests within the walls of their home. Just as their Papa had done before them. Amidst intrigue, escapades, romance, danger, and blackmail, Isabel is faced with the ultimate sacrifice: to lay down her life for another in a most unusual way.

Hi, thanks for checking out my website! I’m Angelina Salvaggio, author of Secret Dwellings.
I’m a Catholic wife and boy-mom, nerd, daydreamer, and lover of history. I grew up in New England and moved out to the Midwest when I was 18.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted to be a published author. I wrote countless poems, journal entries, and stories growing up.
As an adult, I got caught up with life, a husband, kids, and a restaurant management career. Writing was put on the back burner.
In 2017, at the age of 28, I was hit with multiple health issues. By 2020, I was no longer able to work, write, or really do much of anything. I was heartbroken that I’d never be an author.
Thanks be to God, contrary to what my doctors said, I’ve been able to recover from some of those conditions! (Story for another time!) I will never take my health for granted again and I wasn’t about to waste anymore time.
I wrote the rough draft of my book in 19 days.
Over the last 6 months it’s undergone beta and alpha readers, countless revisions, an editor’s golden touch, and now it’s almost done.
Secret Dwellings will be released March 17th, 2025!
